The Moon has the distinction of being the most often viewed celestial object through backyard telescopes. It is undoubtedly beautiful and mysterious, and is one of those constants in our lives that connects us to every other being on our planet. Regardless of who we are or where we live or travel, we all look at the same moon. It is difficult to look at the Moon through a telescope and see all of the details due to its brightness. Our eyes are not ready for the bright beam of light that emits from the eyepiece, and they “stop down”, just as they would when you step out into the sunlight on a bright summer’s day. When we’re in the sunlight, we often wear sunglasses. They help us relax our eyes, protect us from glare, and help us see things more clearly. UHC Filter Features:

Basically, it works by darkening the background so you can see more nebulosity that would otherwise be too faint
This filter has allowed one to actually see some small planetary nebulae that would otherwise be too washed out by the background to be seen, and I'm able to see more detail and more of the dimmer fringe of larger nebulae like the Orion Nebula, the Dumbbell Nebula, and the Lagoon Nebula.
It helps with finding the little planetary nebulae because it dims everything but the nebula, i.e. you can look at the same spot with and without the filter, and with the filter in place the stars are dimmed somewhat but the nebula isn't. The nebula is the dot that doesn't get dimmer when you thread in the filter. It works well at both low and high powers, too.

Question:Can i use it with my eyepieces?
Answer:It is threaded to fit any 1.25"/2 eyepiece.

Can this be used to see the eclipse?
Answer:No you would blind yourself using this filter to view an eclipse. You need a dedicated sun filter that fits over the telescope lens, not the eyepiece. Sun filters reject something like 99.9999% of the sunlight before it enters the telescope.
